The Szatmár Bridge Association is organizing a conference in Szatmárnémeti (Satu Mare, RO) to commemorate the anniversaries of the Hungarian Army entering Szatmárnémeti and the Second Vienna Award. Among the invited speakers are: Tamás Sárándi, museum curator from Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureş, RO); Sándor Thoroczkay, history teacher from Szatmárnémeti; and Dávid Ligeti, Research Fellow at the VERITAS Research Institute for History.  

Location: Szatmár-Láncos (Chains) Protestant Church – John Calvin Community Center, Kálvin tér (Square) 8 (Piața Jean Calvin 8), Szatmárnémeti (Satu Mare, RO)

Date: 4 PM on (Tuesday) September 5th, 2017

The conference will be followed by a wreath laying to honor the memory of István Zolcsák, Hungarian fighter pilot and WWII hero (KIA). Lóránt Hegedüs, Jr. will lead a prayer ceremony.

The evening will culminate with a musical program titled Being Hungarian by Nóri Kovács (Motiva musical group).
