The Eötvös 10 Social and Cultural Space, the Historical Archives of the Hungarian State Security (HAHSS), the TELEPESEK Social Museum Foundation and the Foundation for a Civic Kanizsa jointly organize a conference titled Settlers of the Hortobágy: Attempts at Transforming Hungarian Countryside Society (Proletarianization). Among the invited experts is Sándor Szakály, whose presentation is titled Collective Guilt: The Post-1945 Prosecution of the Members of the Royal Hungarian Gendarmerie.
Prior to the start of the conference, Gergő Bendegúz Cseh (Director, HAHSS) and János Papp (President of the Board of the Foundation for a Civic Kanizsa) together open an exhibition dedicated to chronicling the deportations and expulsions from Zala County that occurred between 1950 and 1953.
