The VERITAS Research Institute for History and the Association of Hungarian Archives of Higher Education organize a conference titled The Treaty of Trianon and Hungarian Higher Education.
Since summer 2017, the VERITAS Research Institute for History has partnered with numerous other university archives and several higher education institutions in a multiyear project that aims to look at the impact that the Treaty of Trianon and the numerus clausus laws of the 1920’s had on Hungarian higher education. In December 2017, the results of the research of the first year were shared with the public at a conference at the Eötvös József Collegium. The conference scheduled for January 15th is a follow-up event to introduce the findings of the second year.
President of the Association of Hungarian Archives of Higher Education Tamás Vajda and Director of the VERITAS Research Institute for History Sándor Szakály open the conference. Thirteen presentations follow from the historians of the VERITAS Institute and several other Hungarian universities (including Eötvös Loránd University, University of Szeged, University of Pécs and Corvinus University).
Location: VERITAS Research Institute for History, Zsil utca (Street) 2–4, Budapest
