The local government of Páty is organizing a commemoration and wreath laying to honor the memory of the thirteen martyrs of Arad. Eszter Zsófia Tóth of the VERITAS Research Institute for History has been invited to give the keynote speech.
The Thirteen Martyrs of Arad were generals in the Hungarian Army executed for their role in the 1848 Hungarian Revolution. The execution took place in Arad, then part of the Kingdom of Hungary, on October 6th, 1849.
