The World Organization of Hungarian Veterinarians and the Hungarian Veterinary Association are commemorating the sixtieth anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution with an international conference. The event will take place on National Veterinary Day. Rector Péter Sótonyi, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Gergely Gulyás and VERITAS Director Sándor Szakály will be giving commemorative speeches. Dr. Szakály’s speech is titled 1956 – Popular Uprising, Revolution or Fight for Freedom?. At the end of the conference the participants will lay a wreath at the 1956 memorial.
