The local government of Keszthely will honor the memory of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution with a grand series of events over the course of October and November. These include a candlelight procession, interactive discussions, the opening of a related exhibition, presentations, film showings, symphony orchestra concerts, ecumenical worship services and the unveiling of a memorial kopjafa (a carved wooden pole used traditionally as a grave marker).
The VERITAS Research Institute for History will send three representatives to Keszthely: Sándor Szakály (Director), Tibor Zinner (Subject Team Leader) and János Rácz (Research Fellow).
