Academic conference in Székesfehérvár

An academic memorial conference titled 1956: The Narratives of Freedom will be organized on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, with the support of Kodolányi János University, the Alba Polisz Science Park Association, the Memorial Committee for 1956, the Foundation for Central and Eastern European History and Social Research and the city of Székesfehérvár, in association with the Historiography Board of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Veszprém Regional Committee, the National Archives of Hungary – Fejér County Archives and the Eastern Transdanubian Group of the Hungarian Historical Society. The conference will take place in Székesfehérvár on October 27th, 2016.  

János Sáringer, Senior Research Fellow, will be representing the VERITAS Research Institute for History at the conference. His presentation is titled Cold War Logic? Sèvres, Suez and Budapest.
