VERITAS Research Institute for History and Archives

28 November 2016

Sixty years ago Switzerland, Spain and the Netherlands refused to participate in the Summer Olympics in Melbourne to protest the Soviet Union’s brutal crushing of the Hungarian Revolution. To pay tribute to the events of 1956 and as part of the Freedom First 1956-2016 program series, the VERITAS Research Institute for History is organizing a conference titled The 1956 Hungarian Revolution and the Melbourne Olympics.

Due to limited seating, preliminary registration is required via the VERITAS website.

Location: The House of Parliament – Upper House, Kossuth Square 1-3, Budapest

Date: 10 AM on (Monday) November 28th, 2016
