The Hungarian Diaspora Council (HDC) is a common forum for the various Hungarian organizations that represent their ethnic kin scattered all around the world. The HDC pays particular attention to the specific needs and interests of diaspora Hungarians, while also serving as their independent representative. The HDC and the Magyar Állandó Értekezlet (Hungarian Permanent Conference) – working tightly together – play an important role in influencing decisions that affect the Hungarian people’s present and future.

Sándor Szakály will be representing the VERITAS Research Institute for History at the HDC’s 6th Conference, where he will give a presentation titled An Introductory Presentation on the Sixtieth Anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
