On the occasion of the memorial year commemorating Hungarian political prisoners and forced laborers deported to the Soviet Union, the Hungarian House and the VERITAS Research Institute for History are running a series of events throughout Hungary and the Carpathian Basin. The next stop will be in Nagyvárad (Oradea, RO), where two events will take place.
The first is a conference organized by the Hungarian Civil Association. Among the invited speakers are:

János Kristóf Murádin (Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Kolozsvár [Cluj-Napoca, RO]): Deportation and Soviet Captivity of the Hungarian and German Civilian Population in 1944-1945
Gusztáv Fodor (Trans-Tisza Reformed Church Diocese, Tiszaszentimre): A Living Church in the Valley of Death: The Reformed Church of Subcarpathia in the Shadow of Stalinist Terror
