With the support of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary, the VERITAS Research Institute for History and the Museum and Library of Hungarian Agriculture are organizing a conference titled Years that Altered the Course of Hungarian History: Appraising the Prime Ministership of Miklós Kállay, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Miklós Kállay government and the 50th anniversary of Kállay’s death.
Miklós Kállay served as Prime Minister of Hungary for two years during WWII, driven from office once Germany occupied Hungary in 1944.
During his turbulent prime ministership, Kállay made several attempts to get Hungary out of the war.
