The National Heritage Institute is designating the Vizsoly Protestant Church as a Hungarian heritage site*. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the National Heritage Institute and the Vizsoly Protestant parish are jointly organizing a celebratory event. The event will also commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation by unveiling a statue of John Calvin.

Opening remarks will be made by Dr. Katalin Fogarasi-Radnai, Director of the National Heritage Institute, and Richárd Hörcsik, MP representing the Vizsoly voting district. Károly Czibere, State Secretary for Social Affairs and Inclusion, will give the keynote address. Sándor Szakály will be representing the VERITAS Institute at the event.

* The Károlyi Bible or Vizsoly Bible is the oldest remaining complete Hungarian translation of the Bible. The translation was completed by Gáspár Károlyi (1529-1592) and his fellow brothers in Christ.
