The Hungarian Historical Society, the Directorate for Public Collections and Public Education of the Office of the National Assembly and the VERITAS Research Institute for History are jointly organizing a conference to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the adoption of the historic Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867. At the conference, titled A Divisive Accord: A Retrospective on the 1867 Austro-Hungarian Compromise, Róbert Hermann and Dávid Ligeti will be representing the VERITAS Institute. In his capacity as president of the Hungarian Historical Society, Dr. Hermann will make welcoming remarks. Later he will give his presentation titled Hungarian Emigratory Intentions concerning the Future of Hungary and her Neighbors: 1850–1867. Dr. Ligeti will give a military-themed presentation titled From Solferino to Königgrätz: The Wars of Franz Joseph from 1859 to 1866
