In the current year, on the 150th anniversary of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, there have been myriad commemorative events and conferences. The next such commemoration will be organized by the Budapest Local History Society, which, as part of its Budapest History lecture series, has invited historian László Anka of the VERITAS Institute to give a lecture titled The Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 and its Consequences.
