On December 7th, 2017, at the Gödöllő Royal Palace, the Institute and Museum of Military History, the VERITAS Research Institute for History and the Gödöllő Royal Palace are jointly hosting a conference on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867.
The objective of the conference (titled Viribus Unitis – with United Powers?) is to take a more nuanced look at the Compromise, including at the various state apparatuses that came into existence in Austria-Hungary as a result and at the historical links of the Era of the Dual Monarchy. Accordingly, guests of the conference will witness a wide spectrum of presentations on the Monarchy’s foreign and domestic policies, its military might and (of course) the Gödöllő Royal Palace, which had a special place in the heart of Queen Elizabeth.
Location: Gödöllő Royal Palace, Barokk Theater, Gödöllő
