Esterházy Academy

With the support of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation, the 2-year adult education Esterházy Academy* opened its door in Martos (Martovce, SK) last September. Sándor Szakály has been invited to Martos to lecture on current events impacting Hungary and the broader international community.

*János Esterházy was a distinguished Hungarian politician in Czechoslovakia. He was arrested on trumped-up charges and deported to the Soviet Union in 1945. He was sent back to Czechoslovakia in 1949, at which time his death sentence was reduced to life in prison. Esterházy died at the Mírov prison hospital at the age of 55.
