The Cultural Association of Hungarians of Armenian Descent in Transylvania and the Armenian local self-governing authority of Budapest jointly organize a commemoration to honor the memory of the heroes of the 1848 Hungarian Revolution, which includes such Armenian-Hungarian stalwarts as Vilmos Lázár, Juan Czetz and Ernő Kiss*. Sarolta Issekutz, President of the Armenian local self-governing authority of Budapest, opens the event. Róbert Hermann of the VERITAS Institute gives a commemorative speech, which is followed by a literary / music composition. The commemoration concludes with a wreath laying at the Martyrs of Arad memorial.

*Lázár and Kiss, Hungarian officers of Armenian descent, were two of the thirteen men executed in Arad in 1849. Czetz was a veteran of the 1848 Hungarian Revolution best known outside of Hungary for founding the Colegio Militar de la Nación (National Military College) in Argentina.
