On the occasion of the sixty-second anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, the local government of Kiskunhalas, the Memorial Committee for 1956 and the Halasi Media and Culture Nonprofit Ltd. jointly organize a commemorative series of events. On October 23rd, the commemoration kicks off with the raising of the revolutionary flag (Hungarian tricolor with a hole in the middle), followed by Kiskunhalas honorary citizen Miklós Bay’s commemorative address. The day continues with a memorial production, worship service and wreath laying. The commemoration culminates on November 4th, with the lowering of the revolutionary flag and a closing address by VERITAS Director Sándor Szakály.
