On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of his death, the Hungarian Historical Institute in Vienna hosts a memorial conference to honor the memory of Dávid Angyal*. Our own Gábor Ujváry has been invited to speak. His presentation is titled “I am haunted by the thought that I have not done enough.” Dávid Angyal’s Six Decades of Academic Work. Additional presenters include Gábor Schweitzer (Hungarian Academy of Sciences Center for Social Sciences – Institute for Legal Studies and the National University of Public Service), Sándor Papp (University of Szeged) and László Dávid Törő (University of Debrecen).

* Dávid Angyal (1857–1943) was one of the definitive academics of the Interwar Era. His legacy lives on through his myriad books on Hungarian historical figures.
