On the occasion of the centenary of the conclusion of the Great War, the First World War Centenary Memorial Committee and the Institute of the Twentieth Century jointly organize an international conference divided into three major sections: The New World Order, The Peace Treaty Ending the First World War and The Issue of Self-Determination. Among the Hungarian presenters are Mária Schmidt, András Balogh, our own Sándor Szakály, András Gerő and Márton Békés. Dr. Szakály’s lecture focuses on the Treaty of Trianon and Hungarian military forces. Bence Rétvári (Parliamentary State Secretary from the Ministry of Human Capacities) makes closing remarks.
