On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Trianon (now commemorated as the Day of National Cohesion), the Csemadok (Social and Cultural Association of the Hungarians of Czechoslovakia) National Council, the Csemadok Szenc Region Caucus, the Csemadok Éberhard Organization and the local government of Éberhard (Malinovo, SK) jointly organize a commemoration.  The events of the day begin with a church service jointly presided over by Dean of the Bratislava Reformed Diocese Alfréd Somogyi and Catholic Vicar János Zsidó.  

Invited speakers include:

  • Commissioner to the Prime Minister Katalin Szili (The European Solution is Autonomy)
  • Poet / teacher Lajos Böröndi (The Shock of Trianon: Representation in Literature During the Interwar Era)
  • VERITAS Research Fellow Kálmán Árpád Kovács (The Fate of Trianon)
  • VERITAS Research Fellow László Lajtai (Ethnic Minority Education in the Era of the Dual Monarchy)
