The local government of Székesfehérvár and the Treaty of Trianon Centenary Memorial Committee jointly host a conference entitled “Opportunity knocks when it knocks, not when you want it to...” The 1919 Romanian Occupation. The lecturers discuss the international circumstances that brought about the 1919 Romanian–Hungarian War, how Romania achieved occupation of significant parts of Hungary and the conduct of Romanian troops in the occupied Hungarian territories. Our colleague László Anka describes the Romanian pillaging that took place in the Duna–Tisza territory.
