Our colleague Emőke Kovács’s new book Balaton Impressions: Destinies, Places and Histories is introduced to the public in Fonyód.
In the author’s own words: “I have wished to capture the soul of Lake Balaton, whose emblematic landscape is outlined by the locations I have presented in the book. Each story is so closely linked to the “Hungarian Sea” as to preclude it occurring anywhere else. Though the writings all trace back to either the 19th or 20th century, they have relevance even today in the 21st.”
