The Legal History Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Eötvös Loránd University and the Department of the History of Hungarian State and Law at Eötvös Loránd University jointly host an academic conference entitled Minority Language Use Aspirations in the Era of the Dual Monarchy. Our colleagues László Lajtai and Ádám Schwarczwölder have been invited to speak. Their lectures are entitled Regulation of the Use of Language in Primary and Elementary Education Institutions in Pre-1918 Hungary and Bought and Paid for? Gyula Andrássy, the Ban of Croatia and the Case of the 121 Thousand Forints, respectively.
