The faculty of Andrássy Gyula Elementary School in Letenye and the Professional Workshop of History Teachers in Southern Zala jointly organize a day to celebrate and remember Gyula Andrássy*. Ferenc Magyar, Superintendent of the Nagykanizsa School District, gives welcoming remarks. Following the unveiling of a memorial plaque and wreath laying, Sándor Szakály, Director of the VERITAS Institute, gives a lecture entitled The Role and Significance of an Independent Hungarian Army.

* Gyula Andrássy, a nobleman sentenced to death for his role in the 1848 Hungarian Revolution,  served as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Hungary from 1867 to 1871.
