The (Visegrád) V4 Architectural Foundation and the VERITAS Institute jointly host our colleague János Rácz of the Post-1945 Era Research Team. His lecture is entitled Antecedents of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
His lecture looks at the various factors that led to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, which erupted on October 23rd, 1956, and shows us the general cares and concerns of the younger revolutionaries. In his analysis of the era, Dr. Rácz also focuses on the role Imre Nagy played and the unique dilemmas faced by the communist leaders of Hungary.
