On the occasion of the sixty-fourth anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, the Cegléd Local Council organizes a series of commemorative events. On October 22nd, a memorial service is held at the tomb of Heroes and Martyrs of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The next day, a commemoration is held in the garden of the Calvinist Great Church. Mayor András Csáky gives welcoming remarks, which is followed by our colleague János Rácz’s keynote speech. The commemoration culminates with a wreath laying at the Szabadság fája (Tree of Freedom).
