The VERITAS Research Institute for History and Archives and the Institute and Museum of Hungarian Military History jointly organize an academic conference entitled The Soviets Withdrew from Hungary Thirty Years Ago. Former Prime Minister of Hungary and current Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the VERITAS Institute Péter Boross opens the conference. The VERITAS Institute is further represented by Attila Seres (From Leonid Brezhnev to Frank Sinatra: How Soviet Military Policy Changed between 1968 and 1991), Dávid Kiss (How the Soviet Withdrawal from Hungary Influenced Hungarian Security Policy) and János Rácz (How the Press Covered the Soviet Withdrawal from Hungary). VERITAS Deputy Director Endre Marinovich closes the conference.
