The Hungarian Publishers and Distributors Association will organize for the 86th time the celebration of books, which, since 2001 (“The Year of Reading”), has also included Children’s Book Day. An actual pavilion city will be constructed at the main location, Vörösmarty Square, as well as on the stretch of Váci and Deák Ferenc Streets near the square. More than two hundred domestic and trans-border publishers will be displaying and selling their books in the 147 uniformly designed structures. The works of Hungarian authors exclusively will be included on the official list. The 329 editions debuting during the Book Week celebration are in the care of 75 domestic and 12 trans-border publishers.
The VERITAS Research Institute for History will set up at the 62nd pavilion, where on Friday, June 5th, at 1 PM, the authors of the first VERITAS books will be signing their works: Iván Bába’s The System Changeover in Hungary, Eszter Zsófia Tóth’s József Antall’s Road to the Prime Ministership (1932-1989) and János Sáringer’s Writings about the Antall Administration’s Foreign Policy and Diplomacy I.
