The Committee of National Remembrance invites the public to a conference on December 3rd, 2015, at 9 AM in the Faculty of Humanities Conference Hall of Eötvös Loránd University. Among the presenters will be Lukasz Kaminski, President of the Poland-based Institute of National Remembrance, as well as several other noteworthy researchers from Poland and Hungary. Representing the VERITAS Research Institute for History will be Tibor Zinner, Subject Team Leader, who will give a presentation titled Az MSZMP és a sortüzek (The Hungarian Socialist Workers’ Party and the Firing Line).
The conference will be opened by László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly; András Kisfaludi, Vice Rector at Eötvös Loránd University; Lukasz Kaminski; and Réka Kiss- Földváry, President of the Committee of National Remembrance.
The day before the conference, at 6 PM on December 2nd, a preludial exhibition titled Hidegháború- egy megosztott világ rövid története (The Cold War – A Short History of a Divided World) will take place.
