The Days that Changed the Course of History series

Focused on the events occurring between 1944 and 1956 that had a lasting impact on Hungarian history,The Days that Changed the Course of History series continues at the Szigetszentmiklós Community Center. The purpose of these presentations is to analyze the effects on society that the communist dictatorship had. At 6 PM on Wednesday, February 24th, Dr. János Rácz, historian and Research Fellow at the VERITAS Research Institute for History, will give his presentation The Road to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. As the title implies, Rácz will take a look at the international events that preceded the outbreak of the revolution and how the international press covered them.
